Local 285-403 Community Outreach

THE MUSICIANS ASSOCIATION OF EASTERN CONNECTICUT, Local 285-403 of the American Federation of Musicians, is committed to furthering the performance of live music in New London, CT and surrounding areas in Eastern Connecticut and Southern Rhode Island.  We actively seek partnerships with corporate citizens, local and state governments, non-profit organizations, schools, churches and other unions/associations to ensure that live music remains a vital part of our communities.

We strongly support music education and performance in our reagion's public and private schools, as well as opportunities for young musicians to have private instruction and experience playing with musical groups in the community.

Each year musicians from Local 285-403 perform in a number of public concerts which are free and open to the public, with co-sponsorship funding and support from The Music Performance Fund.
